I just took a quick look and count of the year in blogging here on my blog and see that I’ve posted 97-times (not including this…my 98th . Not bad, not super-prolific, but still a decent count for my first determined year to represent my life, times and thoughts here consistently.

I’m very eager to press onwards in 2009 with all the new mediums I’ve enabled over the year: Flickr, Instinct phone, Posterous, etc.

I’ve still got a few things to configure but am comfortable moving ahead with what I’ve got enabled, as they stand now.

My biggest goal here in the coming year is to really widen the breadth of content I post here. I’ve really wanted to amp up my writing, in terms of detail, content, etc. and have yet to break through to another level of writing. And on a related note, hope to cultivate a greater following in readership and commentators.

I also hope to increase the size of my Adsense checks and the frequency with which they arrive.

I’m confident I’m on the right track building my readership and cultivating greater skill and interest here. Connected social network outlets like my Facebook and Tribe profiles are furthering my efforts in this.

As blogging and its culture, technology and general popularity continue to grow and evolve, I’m confident that I’ll continue on the same path. I look forward to the journey.

Someone hit us today. 4th accident since Tristan got pregnant. None of them were our fault, just crappy luck!

Seriously. None of the four accidents we’ve been in in the last months were our fault:

1. Some guy smashed through the front driver-side quarter panel in LA
2. A UPS driver rear-ended us after driving up to a redlight too fast (also in LA)
3. Tristan got rear-ended waiting at another traffic light here in PA
4. I got rear-ended by someone reversing too quickly out of their spot today (also in PA)

2009 will be a better driving year or we’re trading the car in and taking public transit!

This coming Sunday, we’ll be having our east coast baby shower.  We had one right before we left Los Angeles, but it was pretty last minute.  So we decided to have one here on the east coast to give more opportunity for everyone to get to know Tristan before the baby’s born (as well as get a few last minute items we’re still in need of .

Melissa DeGezelle is our host and we’ll be getting started around 2pm at our place down the street from the River (between Birdsboro and Pottstown).

All the details are on the Evite page.

We’ve had a few people RSVP, but not as many as I was hoping to see.  So if you haven’t heard about it or made a decision yet, get on over and set your attending status.

When I was a kid, say from six years old or so until maybe eleven or twelve, I used to duplicate Michael Jackson’s dancing on command by any who asked. What made my performances even more entertaining for those watching was the fact that I was sway-backed, pot-bellied and had uber-curly, long hair (that I’d wear pulled back during my little embarrasing acts).

Anyway, at one point during those years, my old friend Charlie drew up his interpretation of me combined with the likeness of M.J.
